Singer-songwriter Armi Millare on Monday surprised her fans by releasing a new single "Whatever."
“Whatever” was written and produced by Millare in collaboration with Bernt Rune Stray and D’Sound’s Kim Ofstad and Jonny Sjo.
Thesingle is part of her upcoming solo debut album, "South Node” which will be out this year.
South Node in western astrology is about a person’s inclinations and nuances relating to the many past lives once lived and where some ought to be relived again as a springboard for their destiny.
The former Up Dharma Down lead vocalist is set to finalize the album. Most songs in the album have been recorded with some of the best producers in Norway, including her collaborators in D’Sound.
The upcoming album recollects the late '90s and 2000s pop, hip hop and R&B music or succinctly, "future soul" that well connects to the spirit of the times, and this also resonates in this new release.
Millare is set to mark the release of "Whatever" with shows this month -- February 9 at 12 Monkeys Music Hall & Pub in Pasig, February 14 at Ayala Malls Terraces and February 17 at La Union.
Last year, Millare made a comeback via the single "Roots."
