Weihenstephan Brewery, widely regarded as the oldest brewery in the world and considered a meister in world-class beers, is Newport World Resorts’ official beverage partner for its Oktoberfest happening from October 19 to 21 at The Ballroom, Hilton Manila.
For P5,200 nett per head, beer enthusiasts can enjoy three types of award-winning German beers from pallets of barrels and bottles, plus German sausages and dishes prepared by the integrated resorts’ global culinary team.
First on the list is Weihenstephaner Original Helle, which won gold at the European Beer Star awards in Fall 2020. It captures the classic Bavarian drinking experience and evokes a light and refreshing flavor with a dash of spice. This beer carries a strong character to be enjoyed with any hearty dish.
The Hefeweissbier or Yeast White Beer, recognized at the 2018 World Beer Awards, shines as the star of the Weihenstephan Brewery. This elegant, white-foam beer boasts a balanced and creamy taste from the harmony of bananas and cloves, ideal at the end of a busy day.
Last but not the least is Hefeweissbier Dunkel, which won gold at the 2022 World Beer Cup. It’s a sparkling, full-bodied drink with a note of caramel and a perfect partner to German desserts. This Dark Wheat Beer elicits a velvety mouthfeel and a sweet aroma, winning its spot among locals’ favorites and global beer awards.
The festivities will also be highlighted by live performances of AnTon Showband and a flurry of drinking games and special prizes. Doors open at 6 p.m.
