Long-time patrons of Cowrie Grill cherish nostalgic memories of the culinary gem nestled within the iconic Manila Hotel. Browsing through heartfelt recollections on platforms like Yelp, it is evident that Cowrie Grill held a revered status as the quintessential steakhouse for Filipino gourmands throughout the '70s, '80s, and '90s. Renowned not only for its sumptuous steaks, intimate ambiance, and five-star service, it was a preferred destination for romantic encounters.

The fine-dining restaurant, however, had to give way to the expansion of Cafe Ilang-Ilang in 2010. In 2013, Cowrie Grill was re-launched and opened in Promenade, Greenhills to bring it close to its clientele in the northern side of Metro Manila.
