Nike’s Tiffany sneakers are here: they’re fancy, pricey, and will sell out faster than you think

These kicks have got sneakerheads and hypebeasts salivating. And they may just be worth the price of admission.

That shade of bluish green is so globally familiar and distinct you can slap it on anything and instantly associate it with the most iconic name in jewelry the world over.

So when teaser photos of a Nike box in Tiffany blue (although I always thought of it more as green, but whatever) started circulating last January from both the Nike and Tiffany camps, sneakerheads straightened up and scoured the web for clues as to how the first ever official collaboration between the two style giants would look like. When photos finally surfaced a month later, I doubt many were disappointed over the result of this latest coming together of streetwear and luxury.

Okay, so it’s basically a black sneaker. An Air Force 1. And for many, this would mean scrolling down to the next item on the website. But examine it closer, check out the details and materials. Craftsmanship is evident here, even if you’re just looking at a picture on your phone.

From the upper done primarily in smooth black suede, you immediately see excellent quality control in this pair of fancy footwear. A Tiffany label done in silver script adorns the tongue while the heel features small silver Tiffany plates sharing space with the Nike Air logo. But what makes this pair truly stand out is the Tiffany blue swoosh that provides the perfect focal point to an otherwise plain black shoe.

It's crafted with premium leather.

Now you may say it could use a little more pizazz, and to a certain extent I agree. However, I also love how understatedly elegant the sneaker is, which is a perfect complement to the Tiffany brand. And if you really need more razzle dazzle, the jewelry company is reportedly also offering sterling silver accessories, including a whistle, shoe horn, shoe brush, and dubraes, along with the sneaks.

At this point, I’m just basing everything on pictures, but given how good the few early pairs that have made their way to the general public looked, and given the reputation of Tiffany, it's safe to say you won't be disappointed if you decide to cop a pair.

Now for the price: It retails at P21,195 or a little over 400 USD, and will drop on March 5 in the Philippines via the Nike SNKRS app. Despite that hefty price, I'm sure it will sell out instantly. A sneaker this pretty and limited will have a multitude going after it - from hypebeasts to fashionistas to sneakerheads and Tiffany collectors.

Early resale predictions have it going for more than double the retail price, but this should drop a teeny weeny bit as orders arrive and given the current bear resale shoe market. But I don't see it dropping too far down. So, breakfast with this Tiffany, anyone?
