Hong Kong is known for its vibrant food and shopping scene, but the city has so much more to offer. Here, we take a look at some of the must-see art events on both sides of Victoria Harbour this March and beyond.
Art@Harbour 2024: teamLab "Continuous"
TeamLab will present an installation called "Continuous" on Central Harbourfront from March 25 to June 2 as part of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department's Art@Harbour 2024. Visitors can expect hundreds of interactive glowing egg-shaped structures that come alive with colors and sounds.
WestK FunFest: "Ephemeral"
Admire digital art facades at the Tsim Sha Tsui promenade, then continue the evening at WestK FunFest where a large-scale immersive art installation features a world of inflatable "bubble-tecture." This will run from March 16 to April 7.
ComplexCon Hong Kong
Running from March 22 to 24, this curated festival blends fashion, art, food, and more, and is a must for pop culture lovers. It will be held at AsiaWorld Expo, which is just minutes away from the Hong Kong International Airport.
Art Basel Hong Kong
A cornerstone of Hong Kong's art season, Art Basel Hong Kong will feature more than 240 galleries and 16 large-scale installations this year. It will be held from March 28 to 30 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Art Central
Returning to Central Harbourfront after four years, Art Central will once again showcase contemporary art from galleries in the region. There will also be a new sector called "Neo" for first-time exhibitors during the event, which will run from March 27 to 31.
Hong Kong Palace Museum and M+ exhibitions
From March 16 to April 11, you can check out masterpieces from London's National Gallery at the Hong Kong Palace Museum's "Botticelli to Van Gogh" exhibition, and the "Noir & Blanc" showcase at M+. Both are located in Hong Kong's West Kowloon Cultural District.
