Given the choice, would you rather live in a house by the beach or in an exclusive subdivision in an urban area? With technology at our fingertips, making it possible for us to do almost everything remotely, many would likely pick the first option, especially if the property is only two to three hours away from Metro Manila.
Leisure and tourism estates (LTE) are now a viable investment, and in fact more relevant now than it was before, says Landco President and CEO Erickson Manzano. “[LTE] is a leisure product in a tourism area, where you could build a beach house or an airbnb, put up a coffee shop or a coworking space,” Manzano explains.
Landco, which has over three decades of experience in premium and exclusive property development, recently launched their newest beach side projects—Club Laiya and CaSoBē in Batangas. In these two projects, Manzano says, investors have the flexibility to own premium properties that can serve as residential homes either as a dream beach house or second home, or commercial structure for a resort business, or a blend of both.
One of the advantages of Club Laiya and CaSoBē, both under Landco BeachTowns, is that they’re both within a two to three-hour drive from Manila. They’re also minutes away from essential local facilities: hospital, public market, pharmacy, school, chapel and various tourist spots. Staying connected whether for business or leisure is easy as the properties are built with technology-equipped infrastructure.
Of course the convenience of the location is only a second consideration to the beachside lifestyle that is the main draw: the white sand, sea and sky, a variety of water sports, gourmet dining, crafts, arts and culture.
The 24-hectare Club Laiya is located in Laiya, San Juan Batangas. It promises wide open spaces and great-looking promenades, with parks and retail landscapes. It’s Seaside District provides various offerings serving both the tourist and the serious investor. Apart from having access to Laiya’s expansive white sand beaches, leisure seekers can also avail of resort amenities in the estate.
Designed as a contemporary resort destination, both property owners and tourists can enjoy an active beach lifestyle with water sports and activities such as windsurfing, kayaking, and yachting.
Meanwhile, the 15-hectare CaSoBē (Calatagan South Beach) nestled on the sands of Calatagan, Batangas offers a more laidback resort lifestyle in an intimate setting. CaSoBē offers estates classified as commercial or mixed use—meaning, lots are for residential use or commercial or both.
Landco provides a range of resort amenities for both properties: from unconventional accommodations like the surreal capsule-like rooms of Cocoons to Crusoe Cabins’ beachfront view of Calatagan, Batangas’ picture-perfect sunsets.
