Privacy could be the most alluring feature of El Nido’s latest high end accommodations. Called Lihim Resorts, it is a luxury destination tucked in a cove and lovingly hidden by trees in the midst of a forest—you know, like a secret—and yet each villa reveals to guests a spectacular view of the world-famous island.

“We wanted something very Filipino-sounding, easy to pronounce, and catchy,” the company’s COO Raffy Ladao tells Raul Manzano in the latest episode of EIC on the Move, explaining the resort’s name of choice. What’s no secret about Lihim is that while it boasts fantastic scenery, beautifully designed villas, and an all-around “polished rustic” aesthetic, another feature the resort is most proud of is its service.

The establishment wishes to offer a luxurious experience in the form of simpler things.

Luxury means elegance, comfort and pleasure but Ladao says the establishment wishes to offer a luxurious experience in the form of simpler things. Like basic attention to detail, and attention to guests’ needs and wishes, thanks to a topnotch 24-hour butler service. “I haven’t heard of other resorts that have it at the level we’re executing ours,” Ladao says proudly.

Located in mainland Palawan, specifically at Sitio Caalan, its address is another feature that distinguishes Lihim from the rest of the island’s luxury resorts—it's very accessible to El Nido town and its communities—which means it’s not far from what anchors the establishment to its very soul.

The resort has secret locations for guests to discover and explore.

True to its name, the resort has a lineup of secret locations for guests to discover and explore—there’s the Pinagbuyutan Island and Cadlao Lagoon, which Manzano had a chance to discover in the EIC on the Move episode. Guests can also enjoy activities like fishing, kayaking, an ATV tour—best ended by savoring a sumptuous feast prepared by the resort’s chef.

What else is there is to make your stay at Lihim worth the trip—and the P67K to P75K- a-night price of accommodation? A great selection of wines can be found at the resort’s wine cellar—which is also a great spot for intimate dinners. The resort has a fitness room furnished with key exercise equipment to provide guests a well-rounded workout. Fitness buffs can also avail of the service of the resort’s personal trainer. And there’s a sauna and a spa, which offers the resort’s signature warm bamboo massage. Truly, something this good can’t be a secret for long.
