The three hotels under City of Dreams Manila—Nüwa Manila, Nobu Hotel and Hyatt Regency Manila—recently bagged the 2022 South East Asian Nations’ Green Hotel Award at the recent ASEAN Tourism Forum in Cambodia. The awards, which is on its 14th year, recognizes hotel industry players who practice and promote sustainable tourism through environment-friendly principles, resource consumption reduction, and local community involvement.

The trio of hotels were cited for their numerous green initiatives focused on renewable energy and energy efficiency. Not only is the City of Dreams the first integrated resort in the country to install solar panels, its water conservation projects include the reuse of treated grey water as well as plastic waste reduction through the replacement of single-use plastic bottles in its hotel rooms. Guests now find reusable and refillable, convenient pump bottles in their stead.
